Huge Crowds Attended the Reunion
Wilmington, DE. The National Caucus of Counting Protesters In the Street, (the NCCPIS) was contracted to give us an estimate of the number of people attending the 40th reunion of Mt. Pleasant’s Class of 1966. “The turnout was tremendous,” said Kareem Inma Koffy. “Friday night, I’d say, um, we had eleventyseven.”
The official count at Saturday night’s gathering by the NCCPIS was 2.5 million attendees. Local authorities commented that the NCCPIS might be a little ambitious with that count, putting their estimate at 130 people. “Nevertheless, it seemed like everyone had a good time. And who is this NCCPIS anyway?”
The NCCPIS is the same group that counted the million-man march several years ago and the illegal aliens this year.

Oh What A Night!
Wilmington, DE The 40th anniversary of Mt. Pleasant’s graduation was held over the last weekend of April, 2006. Reports from the many events were glowing and positive. “I had the time of my life,” claimed one attendee. “It was so great to see people I hadn’t seen in 40 years, I can’t get the smile off my face.”
The reunion events started with a small gathering of people Thursday night at the Doubletree. “Some of us arrived from out of town early and had a chance to get together with classmates who still live in the Wilmington area,” said one attendee. “It was a great way to get the reunion started.”
Several people met Friday afternoon at Mt. Pleasant High School for a tour. “It was actually a self-guided tour. We got permission from the assistant principal and we were on our way. Our tour started just as school let out, and the assistant principal announced to the school to notice the school had special guests, graduates of the Class of 1966. He warned the students not to trample the old people standing in front of the office.”
Friday was the first “official” event, drinks at Timothy’s. An estimated 80 people turned up amidst hugs, kisses, and lots of screams. “It was like a guessing game,” said one classmate. Some people hadn’t changed much, and other than looking like our grandparents, it was easy to figure out who they were. Still others had changed quite a bit. Some had gained weight, some had gone bald, others had grown beards, but in all cases it was the smiles that gave them away.” There were lots of smiles going around that night.
Saturday night was the Official Reunion at the Doubletree. A crowd of about 130 people attended, including alumni from the class of 1966, the class of 1967, and the class of 1965. Five teachers also attended, including John Michaelcwiz, Jody Ambrosino, Bill Crowther, Buddy Clark, and Bob (and Eileen) Emrich.
