Reunion To Have Music
After much debate, it has been decided to have music at the 40th Reunion of Mt. Pleasant’s Class of 1966. “At first, we thought people would spend the night talking away, but after much input, it was decided that we’d dance the night away,” said one former hippie Classmate from the Berkley, California area. “I am great at the electric slide and can get everyone dancing together to many tunes,” she claimed. We’ll see.
A large section of the Doubletree ballroom is set up as the dance floor, so classmates are expected to wear their dancing shoes.
Music will be played by Schaffer Sound Productions and will feature the songs of 1964, 1965, and 1966. They will take requests, but were instructed to stay away from Disco and Hip Hop.
Music will be played from 7PM to midnight.
THE SIGNAL CALLER
A Football Song for the Brandywine Game
(Sung to the tune of 76 Trombones)
(Lyrics by G.I. Strain)
Seventy-one, one, one – let’s begin the fun.
Seventy-two – turn blue, Brandywoo.
Seventy-three – look, see – we got Brandy up a tree.
Ain’t that where his daddy used to be?
Seventy-four –score, score – yeah, we want some more.
Seventy-five – drive, drive – look alive!
Seventy-six –nix, nix –hey, their dog is full of ticks.
They can have their Bulldog at their Brandywine –
Big in the mouth, loud in bark, but toothless in his bite.
We’ll stick with the Green Knight with his shield so bright,
Spear so light – for he was born to fight!
They can have their Bulldog at their Brandywine –
Big in mouth, loud in bark, but toothless in this bite.
We’ll cheer on the Green Knight as he battles in the dogfight.
For the KILL –yea – sweetie sweet delight!
Seventy-sev, sev, sev – hear our motors rev.
Seventy-eight – don’t wait – operate.
Seventy-nine – that’s fine – now we’re crashing thru the line.
Come on Knight – let’s waffle Brandywine.
